Today, we covered MAJOR ground...YAY!  But.....PLEASE....I am BEGGING YOU to listen to the recording between rehearsals so you don't regress.  You now know just how much it can set us back, and I really need you crisp & precise when our Music Man brothers & sisters rejoin us...it'll help them out so much.

ALSO....PLEASE TRANSFER all of the markings from your old score to your new score.    DON'T FORGET...I can't take any more of those scared faces or blank expressions...nor the deafening silence when you miss a cue.

Today, we started with Ugh-a-Wugg, and learned the proper cuts for the version you've got choreography for.

Then we ran the show...lines & music....working on the various dialects along the way.  We started from the the top and got through "Hook's Tarantella."

I also recorded the dialect for all lines for Mr & Mrs D, Wendy & Tootles. I would love to do this for anyone else in the cast, just let me know...the sooner you work on dialect the better...just bring a smart phone or recording device to record.

On Tues, Oct 1, we will pick up where we left off at Act 2, scene 3 (Underground Opening), and we'll finish the show...again, running lines with music.

Thanks guys!

Saturday, Sept 28 // 1:00-5:00p // Dance // Rehearsal Stage

Ugh-a-Wugg:

Vocally, this piece only last for 60 seconds, the rest is all dance.

Tigerlily only begins at m.10, Peter only at m.14, then Both to m.24, which is then:

"Ubble wubble": Tigerlily

"When we get in trouble": Peter

"Ugh-a-woo": Both

"There's just one thing to do.  I'll just send for Tigerlily": Peter

"I'll just send for Peter Pan": Tigerlily

"We'll be coming Willy Nilly": Both...then "Lily!" is shouted.

Both continue with the harmonies we discussed:Tigerlily on top harmony, Peter on bottom with F, G, G, A flat progression.

Both add only one "Boom!" after "brave noble warrior."

Then ALL of cast in dance sing from this point on...

All sing m.46-53, THEN CUT BACK to m.46 again & repeat m.46 & 47 TWICE, then cut to m.188 & all sing "You know you really got a friend" etc. to the end, adding an extra "Blood brothers to the end" at m. 197-198, adding an "UGH!" at the very end right before the dance sequence begins.

Tigerlily & all indians & Darling children take the top harmony, Peter & Lost Boys bottom harmony in measures 46-53, and measures 196-199.

At the point, the rest of the number is all dance....no more vocal.

Review all music, especially what we'll be working on this Tues!

Thanks guys!
